Transferring a domain from one company to another commonly entails the use of a unique transfer code, which different registrar companies refer to as an EPP authorization code, a domain password or an AuthInfo code. This code can be used as a protection measure against unsanctioned transfer attempts with all gTLD and with most ccTLD extensions. The code can be obtained only by the owner of the given domain name and is provided by the current domain name registrar company. It must be given to the new registrar company because the transfer process cannot be initiated without it. The code is case-sensitive and ordinarily contains digits and special characters, so as to obstruct unauthenticated persons from cracking it. Some domain name registrars even change the codes of domain names registered through them after a given period of time for better security.

EPP Transfer Protection in Cloud Hosting

If you have a Linux cloud hosting, you’ve registered a domain name through us and you want to transfer it away, you can obtain its EPP authentication code with no more than a couple of mouse clicks. When you log in to your Hepsia Control Panel and visit the Registered Domains section, you will see all the domains that you have registered through our company listed alphabetically. To the right of each domain name, you’ll see a small EPP icon for all domain name extensions that need a code in order to be transferred between companies. Clicking on the icon will send the code to the domain owner’s email address instantly. In the very same section you can also find and ultimately modify the email, if the one there is not valid any longer.

EPP Transfer Protection in Semi-dedicated Hosting

You can easily obtain the transfer authentication code for any domain name registered under a semi-dedicated server account if you want to transfer it away. This can be accomplished through the exact same Control Panel, via which you administer your account, so you won’t have to go through different platforms. All you will have to do is go to the domain management section of the Control Panel and click the EPP button for the domain that you would like to transfer, provided that its extension supports transfers with a code. Our system emails all codes automatically to the registrant’s email address listed in the domain’s WHOIS record, so in case the email address that is currently listed is obsolete, you can modify it with a few mouse clicks without the need to leave the domain management section of the Control Panel.
